Client’s Niche
Eden General Construction started out as a general contractor. As a part of their overall development strategy, it was decided that the company would diversify their operations into various product sales, oriented specifically towards the government marketplace.
Goals and Challenges
Client had originally reached out to us in February 2023, while searching up consultants that would help their company obtain a GSA MAS Schedule, within the IT Hardware segment (SIN). A GSA MAS contract proposal needed to be compiled, submitted to the GSA, and followed through to the point of approval. There are certain technical requirements that the GSA have in place that can make it especially complicated to receive the IT hardware SIN; all specifics of such requirements, along with all the other sections of the proposal had be identified and fulfilled by Price Reporter through proper research and documentation.
Solutions Provided
Price Reporter’s new GSA contract team were able to collect all the necessary input from the Client and submit the proposal within a fairly short time frame. Before approval, there was only one subsequent clarification request by the Contracting Officer, which we were able to address expeditiously, to the Contracting Officer’s satisfaction.
Price Reporter are true professionals; their excellence and dedication set a benchmark for others to follow. Keep up the outstanding work; your efforts are truly valued and recognized and we hope to keep this moving in the right direction, for years to come!
Achievements
Client was awarded a GSA MAS schedule in July of 2023, i.e. five months after we had set out on this path. Price Reporter then published Eden’s Terms and Conditions, along with the product catalog on the GSA Library and GSA Advantage, enabling the Client to proceed with their offerings and sales generation.
Ever since acquiring the schedule for Eden, we continued managing the newly awarded contract. As part of the government business diversification strategy, we successfully completed a modification to add a new Furniture SIN to the schedule, enabling the client to offer office furniture products. The GSA have specific testing and technical certification criteria for furniture, which can complicate the process of adding the SIN to the contract. Price Reporter provided comprehensive and accurate documentation as part of the modification package to fulfil all aspects of such requirements.
The SIN addition modification included products that are new to the government marketplace with no other contractors offering similar items. The complexity of such cases lies in having to provide sufficient supporting documentation to validate the fairness of the listed prices. Price Reporter’s project management team promptly gathered the necessary documentation, conducting thorough market analysis using its in-house market intelligence tools, and held successful negotiations with the GSA Contracting Officer on behalf of the client to ensure the favorable outcome of this modification.
In conjunction with the new furniture segment, we have also been adding more products to the original IT Hardware SIN.
The newly approved products, along with the updated Terms and Conditions file, were published on the GSA Library / GSA Advantage through Price Reporter’s EDI GSA Catalog Upload Portal. As a result, Eden General Construction has become the exclusive supplier of these specific products to federal customers, significantly boosting their government sales.
So far in 2024, Eden’s sales have added up to over $400,000, with the year not yet over. In our ongoing efforts to expand the client’s portfolio and solidify their presence in the federal procurement landscape, we are working on enhancing the catalog with the addition of highly demanded products, at most competitive prices.
